17th of May...with flags and pølse

I've seen this in Oslo, huge amounts of people parading along Karl Johans street and in front the Royal palace.

Stockholm syndrome: Sunday

Woke up with no plans for the day, no special requests either :), so I suggested a walk to Sodermalm, passed Riddar holmen on the way, which is probably the first isle to be populated in today's Stockholm, and crossed from there to Soder.

Stockholm syndrome: Saturday

No, I haven't been held hostage and started sympathizing with the offender, unless you can consider my husband taking me to Stockholm without me knowing where I was going a kidnap, so he's the offender and I def. sympathize with that particular man, so...

I've been driving round Norway 6 days

The last day of the journey, but probably one of the most impressive since I'm visiting two of Norway's most famous sights.

I've been driving round Norway 5 days

Now let me start by telling you that you won't hear much about Florø since there isn't much to say, it's just a small seaside town, cosy but that's about it. The fifth day was used to get from Florø to Ulsteinvik where my sister in law lives. Nothing much to say about Ulsteinvik either, it's just a small ship building town.

I've been driving round Norway 4 days

Too bad we woke up too late because that led us to get to Bergen to late for Urmita's train back to Asker. However we picked quite a pleasant pair of American hitchhikers on the way who left her a dollar :D

I've been driving round Norway 3 days or The Mighty Preikestolen

Sunday: Bergen - Preikestolen
This was a totally out of the blue idea, a bit of a gamble given the amount of time vs. the amount of ferries to get there. But being us, we went anyway.

I've been driving round Norway one day

Friday: Asker - Voss
Erik's idea. And a good one as usual. Started on a Friday evening from Asker after working hours (someone was working, not me). The plan was to get to Voss by midnight to get some good sleep, but it rained so much over Norway the day before that quite a bit was flooded and some roads/tunnels were closed. Instead of a 5-6 hour ride, it ended up being close to 10 hours due to the retour/detour we had to take. (see map :s). The red line is what we were supposed to drive, the blue is what we ended up doing :(

Back to Scandi4: Nice little Fredrikstad

I'm a person who highly values a nice relaxing weekend at home with my husband, and there's hardly anything i would give that up for. Still don't know why we decided to go out on Saturday to a new place, it had to be close enough for a day trip and have just enough to see in one day without rushing. Living in Oslo at the time Fredrikstad was a natural choice, and i personally didn't even know what to expect.

Back to Scandi3: Røros, Norway

Where's Røros?
Røros is located in the middle of Norway, in the county of Sør-Trøndelag. Inland, doesn't overlook any seas or fjords...

Back to Scandi2: Asker, Norway

Back to Asker, back to Scandic home...and feels like i never left...
The same little town close to Oslo where i spent 6 weeks last year at this same time of year: October.
Same weather, same feelings, same classroom even...

But differences exist too...today i'm back here not as a freshman but as company person with some experience, today i have different people with me...it's all the same here but my life changed abit since...for the better...

And it feels really good 😊

Back to Scandi1: Trondheim, Norway

So there i was again in my favourite little northern country...Norway, signing off from my vessel in Trondheim, it was more than natural spending some days there.

Scandinavia part 7: Leaving it home!

I arrived in Oslo from Kristiansund on 1st of November just to find my flight to Amsterdam is cancelled,

Scandinavia part 6: Kristiansund, Norway

My last few days in Norway, 4 really interesting days, i spent on this island city, Kristiansund.
This is where i had my small boat training, yes, i've been driving small boats for 3 days and that was cool! especially the FRC (fast rescue craft), this babe is hot! and really fast if it needs to. And by the way i came first on class.

Scandinavia part 5: Bergen, Norway

After a long adventurous trip across Norway and after sleeping ourselves out, Aurelia was even tired of sleeping at one point, we woke up to start a beautiful day in Bergen.

Scandinavia part 3: Copenhagen, Denmark

Hmmm, Copenhagen... Don't know where to start...
It's surely a great experience to see a new country and go around its capital, i enjoyed that fact. Well, to tell the truth, Copenhagen has a lot of nice places and is a really beautiful city in general, all the squares, the old buildings, churches and towers, the small alleys and pedestrian streets are just wonderful.

Scandinavia part 2: Stockholm, Sweden

I'm writing about this more than a week after but the feelings of that place are still the same, i really enjoyed that big, busy yet very beautiful and heart capturing Swedish city.
